The Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach is launching a brand-new restaurant called SHOR, right by the Pacific Ocean, providing guests with a unique beachfront dining experience. The new venue aims to elevate beachside hospitality through energetic and friendly service in a relaxed yet elegant environment. To support this vision, the hotel is recruiting a Seasonal Food Runner to join the opening team and contribute to the restaurant's success. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced settings and enjoy engaging with guests in a dynamic atmosphere.

As a Seasonal Food Runner at SHOR, your primary responsibility will be to assist Food Servers by efficiently delivering food orders from the kitchen to guests’ tables. Effective communication skills are necessary, as well as the physical ability to lift, push, and pull moderate weight items. This role requires excellent organizational skills to maintain smooth coordination with the Expo Line and other team members. Additional duties include bussing tables by clearing dishes and trash to keep the dining area clean and inviting. The role demands stamina, as you will be on your feet for long periods and working under outdoor conditions, often in sunny weather. Availability during peak periods such as Spring Break and the Summer Season—including weekends and holidays—is essential.

Job Requirements

  • prior experience in food service or hospitality preferred
  • California Food Handlers Certification
  • CA Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification
  • ability to lift moderate weight
  • ability to push and pull heavy weight
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • open availability during peak seasons including weekends and holidays

  • ability to work outdoors
