The role of Seasonal Expeditor/Food Runner at Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa is integral to maintaining the high standards of food and beverage service for which the property is known. This position is multifaceted, combining the responsibilities of an expeditor and a food runner to ensure the timely, organized, and quality delivery of meals from the kitchen to the dining room. As an expeditor, you will serve as the critical communication link between the Culinary team and the serving staff, organizing orders, staging entrees, and ensuring all guest preferences and dietary requirements are met efficiently. Precision, attention to detail, and a proactive approach are central to successfully managing orders in a fast-paced environment. In addition to expediting duties, the role also requires flexibility to support as a food runner when needed. Responsibilities will include assisting servers by delivering food to guests promptly with excellent customer service skills and maintaining a physical ability to lift and transport moderate weights. This dynamic role demands stamina, multitasking abilities, refined communication, and organizational skills, all while upholding Hyatt's core value of caring for people so they can be their best. The position is seasonal, with work spanning the busy spring, summer, and holiday periods and includes shifts during mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Job Requirements

  • Valid CA Food Handler Certification
  • Ability to stand for long periods and walk long distances
  • Physical stamina to lift and carry moderate weight
  • Ability to push and pull heavy objects
  • Open availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Availability through spring, summer, and holidays
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Prior experience in food service roles preferred
