This position is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of the food production aspect of the event's extensive culinary offerings. Reporting to the management team, the BOH Lead will oversee all back-of-house activities related to food preparation and kitchen staff coordination. This includes maintaining strict food safety and quality standards while managing and supporting the seasonal kitchen team through every step of the event.

Candidates ideal for this position will bring substantial experience in kitchen operations, catering or banquet service, food trucks or festivals, restaurant leadership, and high-volume food production. They will be tasked with planning and coordinating food preparation schedules, supervising kitchen staff, troubleshooting operational challenges as they arise, and ensuring that all culinary output meets the event's high standards. The role demands a leadership style that blends organization, adaptability, and an ability to keep calm under pressure while inspiring a team to perform at their best during one of the busiest times of the year.

Working as the Back of House Lead means becoming an integral part of the event’s success, directly contributing to creating memorable experiences for thousands of guests who visit the Silverton Christmas Market annually. Candidates must be prepared to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in line with the event schedule. The role suits those who thrive in energetic environments and enjoy being part of a collaborative team striving for excellence in hospitality and food service. This position allows for significant hands-on involvement and the chance to showcase leadership abilities in a unique, exciting seasonal event setting.
