Kings Dominion values teamwork, diversity, and creating a positive atmosphere where individuals thrive and grow professionally.
As a Seasonal Events & Execution Assistant at Kings Dominion, you will play a pivotal role in the coordination and execution of Group Sales and Sponsorship events within the park. This role is key to ensuring the smooth operation of events from planning to day-of execution, guaranteeing outstanding client satisfaction and seamless collaboration between various park departments and sales teams. Reporting directly to the Activation Manager, this position requires excellent organizational skills, clear communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Your responsibilities will include collaborating closely with the Activation Manager to manage communications among clients, sales personnel, and park teams. You will be the lead on executing corporate outings, youth programs, and group events, managing support teams and addressing client requirements on the day of the event. Ensuring accurate processing of event orders, catering arrangements, billing, and sales data entry is a critical part of the job. Additionally, you will support onsite sponsorship activations by maintaining brand visibility consistent with national and regional agreements and providing detailed event documentation for post-event recaps.
A successful candidate will bring a passion for Kings Dominion and a commitment to delivering exceptional experiences. You should be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and have familiarity with Windows operating systems. Experience with Salesforce CRM is advantageous but not mandatory. You must possess strong time management, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds. The nature of the role also requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holiday periods to align with business demands. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to creating unforgettable moments for guests while enjoying unique employee benefits.
