Established over a century ago, Brunswick continues to lead the market with cutting-edge technologies and a diverse portfolio of brands dedicated to marine recreation. One of its most prominent divisions is the Freedom Boat Club, the nation’s oldest and largest private member boat club, with over 400 locations across the U.S. Founded in 1989 in Sarasota, Florida, Freedom Boat Club offers an unparalleled boating experience where members enjoy hassle-free access to a fleet of well-maintained boats while the club handles fueling, cleaning, maintenance, and other logistics. This dedication to excellence has cemented Brunswick's reputation as a trusted name in the marine community.
Working with Brunswick and Freedom Boat Club means joining a passionate team that values innovation, growth, and delivering exceptional service. The organization offers a variety of rewarding career opportunities, emphasizing professional development and inclusivity. Employees benefit from a supportive workplace culture that encourages collaboration and recognizes individual contributions. Brunswick's inclusive hiring practices also foster diversity, ensuring that a broad range of voices and talents help shape the future of marine recreation.
The seasonal dock team member role at Freedom Boat Club is a unique opportunity for individuals who enjoy working outdoors near the water and interacting with diverse customers. This position requires availability through the end of the season, typically concluding in October or November, and offers a competitive hourly wage starting at $17.00. In addition, those who commit to working through the entire season are eligible for a $500 retention bonus, an incentive reflecting the company’s appreciation for dedication and reliability.
In this role, team members are the face of the Freedom Boat Club, warmly welcoming members and visitors, assisting with the check-in and check-out process using handheld tablets, conducting equipment inspections, and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of vessels and dock facilities. The role requires excellent customer service skills, strong communication abilities, and proactive problem-solving to ensure every guest has a seamless and enjoyable experience. Given the hands-on nature and outdoor setting, candidates must be prepared for physical activity, including standing for extended periods, bending, kneeling, and lifting equipment up to 25 pounds, and working in various weather conditions.
This position offers a blend of clerical work, direct customer interaction, and maritime equipment handling. It requires familiarity or comfort around boats and the ability to work independently while maintaining a positive, cooperative attitude. Employees must uphold company standards related to safety, appearance, confidentiality, and professionalism. Brunswick and Freedom Boat Club provide a supportive work environment with clear policies and an emphasis on safety and respect.
The seasonal dock team member opportunity at Freedom Boat Club is ideal for individuals seeking a dynamic, outdoor job that combines customer service with a passion for boating and marine environments. Whether you are launching a career in the marine industry or looking for meaningful seasonal employment, this role offers valuable experience, competitive pay, and potential for growth within one of the world’s most respected marine organizations. Join Brunswick and Freedom Boat Club to transform your love for the water into a rewarding career and contribute to a team that embodies the spirit of innovation and service excellence in the marine world.
