Job Description

Molly Moon's Homemade Ice Cream is a beloved multi-generational ice cream company known for its commitment to happiness, sustainability, and community connection. Established with the mission to make the world a better place one scoop at a time, Molly Moon's takes pride in sourcing only the finest local ingredients and maintaining strong partnerships with local vendors. At the heart of the company are its shops, cozy gathering places where customers of all ages can enjoy high-quality ice cream crafted with care, along with a sense of joy and community. The company values sustainability and ethical business practices in every aspect, from their kitchen operations to the customer cones, ensuring that every scoop they serve aligns with their core values of being smart, generous, joyful, homemade, and brave.

The role of Seasonal Delivery Driver at Molly Moon's Homemade Ice Cream is a critical position that supports the operational backbone of their growing network of ice cream shops. This hourly role typically offers 20 to 30 hours per week during the busy spring and summer seasons, starting at $25.00 per hour. The delivery driver is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting a variety of products—including ice cream, ingredients, non-culinary goods, and supplies—throughout the greater Seattle area. Delivery specialists ensure that the production and sales locations remain well stocked and connected, maintaining the flow of goods that allow the shops to run smoothly and delight customers.

With safety as a top priority, this position demands an ultra-safe attitude and strict adherence to traffic laws and company guidelines. The role also requires meticulous inventory tracking using web-based software, providing logistical support to scoop shop teams, vendors, and wholesale accounts. Drivers must be able to communicate effectively with the Delivery Logistics Manager and other key team members, responding promptly to requests and managing multiple tasks with attention to detail and professionalism. The ideal candidate is a team player who can also work independently, fit well within an inclusive and diverse workplace, and has excellent communication skills along with a professional and friendly attitude.

Additional responsibilities include maintaining delivery vehicle cleanliness, fulfilling online store orders, organizing merchandise, running company errands such as purchasing supplies, and participating in monthly inventory activities. The Seasonal Delivery Driver also ensures compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards and assists with cleaning tasks related to dishware returned from shops and wholesale accounts. This role plays a vital part in representing the company positively to customers and vendors, reinforcing Molly Moon's dedication to community values and quality service.

Molly Moon's offers competitive compensation with opportunities for wage growth based on tenure and performance, including annual cost-of-living adjustments. Employees in this role also benefit from a comprehensive set of benefits including zero-premium medical, dental, and vision insurance offered to part-time employees working 20 or more hours per week, paid sick and safe time, vacation pay, supplemental family leave benefits, a 401k plan with employer match, and childcare subsidies. The company fosters a predictable and flexible work environment with schedules posted four weeks in advance and shift trading options, allowing employees to balance work and life commitments while enjoying the unique perks such as unlimited ice cream scoops. Molly Moon's is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer, embracing diversity and inclusion across all aspects of employment.
