Job Description
Aramark is a global leader in food, facilities, and uniform services, proudly serving millions of guests daily across 15 countries. The company is deeply rooted in service and driven by a mission to make a positive impact on employees, partners, communities, and the planet. Aramark values inclusivity and equal employment opportunities, ensuring a welcoming workplace free from discrimination based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, gender, disability, and other legally protected characteristics. With a focus on talent development and professional growth, Aramark provides a dynamic career environment where employees are encouraged to pursue new challenges, foster a sense of belonging, and achieve their full potential. The company’s dedication to quality service and operational excellence is supported by a robust team culture and a commitment to sustainability and social responsibility.
The deckhand role at Aramark offers an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of the customer service and operations team responsible for maintaining dock areas and vessels. This role centers on ensuring guest satisfaction by assisting guests with inquiries, preparing vessels to high safety and cleanliness standards, and supporting crew members with mooring and line handling. The position includes cleaning and restocking vessels and dock areas, explaining boating safety to guests, and managing light retail and snack services when necessary. The deckhand also plays a vital role in reporting any mechanical issues, safety hazards, or incidents to the captain, thereby supporting operational safety and guest experience. Training is provided to operate the POS system, which aligns with the role’s occasional retail responsibilities. Because of the physical demands such as lifting, bending, and extended standing or walking, candidates must be prepared for an active work environment that requires both attentiveness and a positive, friendly demeanor. Flexibility is essential since the position involves working on weekends and holidays. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy guest interaction, have strong communication skills, and are eager to contribute to smooth and safe maritime operations while supporting Aramark’s mission to do great things for its communities and guests.
