As a Cook, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing special meals, regulating cooking equipment temperatures, and ensuring food items are thawed, portioned, garnished, and presented to perfection. Maintaining food logs and monitoring both the quality and quantity of food produced will be part of daily operations. Personal appearance and professionalism are important, as is maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information and protecting company assets. The position involves physical activity such as standing or walking for extended periods, bending, lifting, and moving items up to 25 pounds without assistance.

While this position does not include supervisory responsibilities, the Cook will assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, motivating, and coaching employees to foster a productive and positive team environment. The Resort at Pelican Hill values associates who can anticipate guest needs, communicate effectively, and contribute to a culture of excellence and teamwork.

Candidates with at least three years of related work experience and a technical, trade, or vocational school degree are preferred. Although no supervisory experience or licenses are required, a genuine passion for culinary arts and commitment to quality standards is essential.
