Job Description

Lido House Autograph Collection is a distinguished property within Marriott International’s portfolio, known for its unique and memorable hospitality experiences. As part of the Autograph Collection, Lido House exemplifies the brand's commitment to quality, originality, and bold character, catering to 'The Individualist' traveler who seeks more than just a place to stay but a venue that enriches their personal narrative. Marriott International stands as a global leader in the hospitality industry, dedicated to creating a diverse and inclusive work environment that values the distinct backgrounds, talents, and perspectives of all its associates. Marriott International actively fosters equal employment opportunities and is committed to non-discrimination on any protected basis, ensuring a welcoming workplace for all. The Lido House Autograph Collection is now partnering with the Rouxbe Cooking School to provide culinary associates with innovative online training resources that support career growth and skill enhancement through a self-paced digital platform featuring comprehensive culinary curricula.

The Culinary Associate role at Lido House offers a hands-on opportunity to contribute directly to the creation and delivery of exceptional food experiences that meet Marriott's high standards of quality and presentation. This position involves preparing ingredients meticulously—portioning, chopping, peeling, weighing, and mixing—while adhering to standardized recipes and safety protocols. The Culinary Associate operates various kitchen equipment including ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers, ensuring that every dish reaches optimal cook quality and presentation. The role extends beyond food prep to maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including disinfecting surfaces and tools and verifying temperature accuracy of appliances for food safety.

In addition to technical culinary duties, the Culinary Associate must comply fully with Marriott’s safety and sanitation policies, promptly reporting any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management. Personal appearance and professionalism are also emphasized to align with company standards. The role requires effective communication skills to foster positive team dynamics and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information while supporting collective goals within fast-paced kitchen environments.

This position is ideal for individuals with at least one year of related culinary experience and a foundational education level equivalent to a high school diploma or G.E.D. The role does not require supervisory experience or licenses, making it accessible to emerging culinary professionals seeking to advance within an esteemed hospitality brand. With Marriott’s commitment to continuous learning, employees benefit from access to structured online culinary training via the Rouxbe platform, allowing them to refine their skills and progress in their hospitality careers.

Joining the Autograph Collection team means becoming part of a portfolio of independent luxury hotels under Marriott’s guidance, dedicated to delivering personalized and authentic guest experiences. Employees are encouraged to be their best, to find purpose in their work, to belong to a diverse global community, and to develop into their fullest professional potential. Working as a Culinary Associate at Lido House represents not just a job, but the opportunity to grow within a respected industry leader while contributing to the brand’s promise of unique and bold hospitality expertise.
