Job Description
The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is a luxurious hospitality establishment located in the renowned Deer Valley ski resort, approximately 40 minutes from the Salt Lake City International Airport. As part of an extensive new development that includes 17 ski lifts, around 1,600 residential units, eight hotels with a combined total of approximately 1,350 rooms, and about 250,000 square feet of conference and retail space, this hotel stands out as a premier destination for visitors seeking both comfort and adventure. The development also features one of the world’s largest "ski beaches," enhancing its appeal to ski enthusiasts and families alike.
The Grand Hyatt, with its 436 luxury accommodations, offers 381 guest rooms and 55 residential units complemented by approximately 30,000 square feet of flexible indoor meeting space. Guests can enjoy a variety of dining options that include a three-meal restaurant and bar on the lobby level, a signature bar, pool and aprs ski bar and grill, a coffee bistro, a large outdoor event terrace, and access to a pool with three whirlpools. Additional amenities include a kids club and a modern fitness area, positioning the hotel as a comprehensive resort experience catering to families, leisure travelers, and business guests alike.
Hyatt prides itself on exceeding high expectations, offering an environment where talent and dedication open doors to exciting challenges and career growth within the hospitality industry. The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley upholds a warm, respectful, and inclusive culture that promotes professional development and exceptional service standards.
This position is for a Seasonal Concierge who will act as a key guest-facing representative during the busy winter season. This role demands comprehensive knowledge of Park City, Deer Valley Resort, local attractions, and winter activities, with a particular emphasis on first-hand familiarity with skiing. The Seasonal Concierge is responsible for supporting families, managing high volumes of guest requests, and delivering personalized, elevated service with warmth and efficiency.
The role is crucial in maintaining exceptional guest satisfaction during peak months, ensuring that every guest experience is seamless and thoughtfully cared for. The Concierge will arrange dining, transportation, ski rentals, lift tickets, childcare, and activity reservations, all with accuracy and personalized attention. They will provide expert local knowledge and confident explanations of ski terrain, ability levels, lesson programs, and gear needs. Additionally, the Seasonal Concierge will guide guests toward winter-specific attractions like snowshoeing, tubing, sleigh rides, Nordic skiing, ice skating, and holiday programming.
Handling a high volume of requests with composure and prioritization, offering specialized care to families and VIP guests, and assisting with on-property experiences and vendor relations are all key components of the role. The Concierge will also collaborate closely with the Front Office, Recreation, and VIP teams to ensure smooth guest flow and optimal service coverage. Effective communication across multiple channels and maintaining strong local partnerships to enhance guest offerings are essential aspects of the job.
Candidates should possess excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment. Availability for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts is required. This is a seasonal role with a focus on delivering luxury service in a dynamic and upscale winter resort setting. Grand Hyatt Deer Valley is an equal opportunity employer, committed to diversity and inclusion, but does not provide visa sponsorship for this position.
