The role of Concierge at Hyatt is a pivotal position that directly affects the quality of a guest's stay. This professional is responsible for delivering exceptional guest services by assisting with inquiries, providing detailed directions, and making reservations or recommendations tailored to guest preferences. The Concierge acts as the knowledgeable liaison between guests and the myriad services available in the hotel and the vibrant city of New York. This includes booking travel arrangements like buses, trains, flights, and limousines, as well as securing tickets for entertainment events, offering shopping advice, and facilitating the rental of various items such as cars, formal wear, and health-related equipment. The position demands a deep understanding of New York City's social, cultural, dining, and entertainment scenes as well as familiarity with public transportation systems. The Concierge must be equipped to handle special or complex requests with professionalism and warmth, ensuring a positive and hassle-free experience. The ability to communicate in multiple languages, including French, Italian, German, Portuguese, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Japanese, is highly advantageous for serving Hyatt's international clientele.
Hyatt offers this role as an hourly paid position, with a competitive salary ranging from $33.86 to $40.31 per hour. Associates in this role enjoy working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment that values integrity, creativity, and responsiveness. The Concierge works closely with colleagues across departments such as the front desk, bell services, and mailroom to collectively ensure guest satisfaction. Being tech-savvy and proficient in computer applications, including internet and email communications, is essential for managing administrative tasks and guest requests effectively. The role requires someone who thrives under pressure, can multitask efficiently, and has excellent problem-solving skills to creatively address guest needs. This is not just any job; it is an opportunity to deliver the 'Hyatt Touch,' a signature blend of heartfelt service, expert knowledge, and personalized attention that distinguishes Hyatt from other hotel brands. Joining Hyatt means becoming part of a team that is passionate about hospitality and dedicated to crafting memorable experiences for every guest.
