Job Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid Class D Driver’s License
- High school degree or GED equivalent
- 2 years of driving experience with a clean driving record
- No DUIs or OVIs within the last 5 years or 2 in any 10-year period
- No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years
- Ability to receive and follow instructions
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and write in English
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations

Job Duties
- Load delivery into Northern Illinois Food Bank vehicle by site and by route
- Verify that the assigned truck is at proper temperatures
- Ensure that each route has accurate delivery and invoices prior to departure
- Ensure that warehouse and docking area are free of debris
- Deliver to youth sites and contact site staff when arriving before or past planned arrival time
- Professionally communicate with all site personnel upon delivery
- Keep the vehicle filled with fuel and comply with all DOT requirements and report maintenance needs to the Director of Transportation
- Empty the vehicle of milk crates, pallets, boxes, shrink wrap and/or coolers
- Maintain excellent handling and filing of all site invoices
- Assist with other transportation functions such as Food Recovery, Agency Deliveries etc
- Maintain assigned vehicles in clean condition
- Show up for work on time every day you are scheduled
- Provide advance-notice of any potential missed shifts
- Adhere to all safety protocols and standards
- Perform other related duties and/or responsibilities as assigned or required
