Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- degree in culinary arts preferred
- 1-2 years of kitchen operations experience
- valid Food Manager Certification
- excellent communication skills
- ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- ability to stand for extended periods
- capacity to lift up to 50 lbs
- ability to operate POS systems and kitchen equipment
- availability for 12 to 16 hours per week
- adherence to food safety and sanitation standards
- commitment to Sur La Table policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- degree in culinary arts preferred or extensive culinary experience
- 1-2 years of kitchen operations experience
- valid Food Manager Certification
- excellent communication skills
- strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- passion for community engagement and customer service
Job Duties
- Represent Sur La Table’s brand and culture by creating memorable educational experiences
- deliver exceptional culinary experiences focused on savory cooking classes
- communicate technical cooking concepts and savory techniques clearly
- stay current on products and culinary trends
- drive sales by promoting retail items used in classes
- assist in set-up and breakdown of classes including prepping and cleaning
- ensure compliance with food safety standards and sanitation regulations
