Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • degree in culinary arts preferred
  • 1-2 years of kitchen operations experience
  • valid Food Manager Certification
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • capacity to lift up to 50 lbs
  • ability to operate POS systems and kitchen equipment
  • availability for 12 to 16 hours per week
  • adherence to food safety and sanitation standards
  • commitment to Sur La Table policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • degree in culinary arts preferred or extensive culinary experience
  • 1-2 years of kitchen operations experience
  • valid Food Manager Certification
  • excellent communication skills
  • strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • passion for community engagement and customer service

Job Duties

  • Represent Sur La Table’s brand and culture by creating memorable educational experiences
  • deliver exceptional culinary experiences focused on savory cooking classes
  • communicate technical cooking concepts and savory techniques clearly
  • stay current on products and culinary trends
  • drive sales by promoting retail items used in classes
  • assist in set-up and breakdown of classes including prepping and cleaning
  • ensure compliance with food safety standards and sanitation regulations
