Job Description
Nutrien is a global leader in the agriculture industry, dedicated to providing innovative crop inputs and comprehensive services designed to help farmers and growers maximize yields and promote sustainable farming practices. With a legacy spanning over 150 years, Nutrien operates through its retail division, Nutrien Ag Solutions, which serves customers through more than 2,000 locations across North America, South America, and Australia. This network leverages the expertise of nearly 26,000 employees to efficiently supply growers with a wide variety of products including proprietary brands such as Loveland Products, Proven Seed, and Dyna-Gro Seed. Nutrien Ag Solutions also offers financial services, custom applications, and precision agriculture solutions to enhance agricultural productivity and sustainability worldwide.
Nutrien's mission, "Feeding the Future," underscores its commitment to making a positive impact on the global food supply while adhering to core values of safety, integrity, collaboration, and excellence. They prioritize safety in the workplace, act with integrity in all business dealings, believe in the strength of teamwork, and strive to deliver exceptional results for their customers and communities.
The Truck Driver position at Nutrien offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the agricultural supply chain by ensuring timely and safe delivery of essential products to various destinations. This role involves operating semi-trucks with one or two trailers while adhering strictly to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Responsibilities include loading and unloading trailers, conducting vehicle inspections according to Department of Transportation (DOT) standards, completing necessary paperwork such as shipping bills of lading, and maintaining records of deliveries and vehicle conditions.
This position demands a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and a steadfast commitment to safety. Truck drivers will perform daily maintenance checks on their vehicles, including monitoring oil, water, and air pressure in tires, and promptly report any maintenance issues to the relevant department. Drivers are also expected to demonstrate physical capability by lifting and moving materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Nutrien emphasizes local employment stability with this role by offering home every night schedules to avoid long hauls or extensive time away from family and friends. Full-time hours averaging 40+ per week with opportunities for overtime during peak seasons provide financial stability and career growth potential. The company fosters employee development by offering seasonal employees chances to transition into full-time roles, encouraging career longevity within the organization.
Safety is a top priority at Nutrien, ensuring all truck drivers operate under the highest safety standards to protect themselves and their teams. The company also prioritizes inclusivity and equal opportunity, welcoming qualified applicants regardless of race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability, veteran status, or other protected categories.
By joining Nutrien as a Truck Driver, individuals become integral members of an organization committed to feeding communities globally and advancing sustainable agriculture. This role is perfect for those who value purpose-driven work, team collaboration, and a stable yet rewarding career in the transportation sector within the agriculture industry. Nutrien invites motivated candidates to apply and be part of its impactful journey to raise the expectations of what an agriculture company can achieve.
