About the Role - Bartender: We are seeking a highly motivated, customer-oriented Bartender to join the hospitality team at The Phelps. This part-time position, offering a competitive wage of $8.00 to $10.00 per hour, requires a personable individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering memorable guest experiences.

The Bartender will be responsible for greeting guests warmly and maintaining an inviting bar atmosphere. This role demands excellent knowledge of mixology trends and the ability to prepare drinks promptly and accurately, following standard recipes and practicing portion control to ensure product quality. The bartender will guide guests on their beverage selections by providing descriptive selling and ensuring any special requests are meticulously accommodated.

Collaboration is critical; the bartender will work closely with restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff to ensure seamless service. Responsibilities also include managing bar inventory and stock, maintaining fresh garnishes and perishables, and ensuring all bar-related areas are properly set up and secured at the beginning and end of shifts.

The ideal candidate possesses at least 2 to 4 years of bartending experience, holds a current bartender certification or appropriate license, and boasts strong knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits. Having an engaging and welcoming personality with excellent communication skills is essential, as is the ability to work well under pressure while passionate about creating extraordinary experiences for all guests.
