Columbia Hospitality values accountability, creativity, enthusiasm, honesty, inclusion, and respect, which shape its unique culture and service philosophy.
Hotel Interurban, a part of Columbia Hospitality, stands as an iconic property located in Seattle Southside’s retail core and transportation hub. Towering 19 stories high, the hotel offers guests unparalleled views of the region and is surrounded by abundant entertainment, shopping, and dining options, providing exceptional walkability and convenience. The hotel’s amenities include 49" HDTVs, classic American cuisine at Rendition, grab-and-go options from Urban Roast, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and an indoor saline pool. This blend of technology and luxury provides guests with comfort, convenience, and an innovative experience.
The Seasonal Bartender role at Hotel Interurban is a dynamic and engaging position ideal for individuals passionate about mixology and delivering outstanding customer service. As a Seasonal Bartender, you are responsible for crafting inspired cocktails, preparing and serving a wide variety of drinks, and creating distinctive experiences that leave a lasting impression on guests. The role demands a charming individual who can impress with beverage expertise and cocktail techniques while maintaining an expertly managed bar environment.
This position offers competitive pay, including an hourly wage of $22.00, eligibility for tips and tip pooling, and the unique opportunity to get paid daily, making each day payday. Paid time off and holiday pay are provided because the company values work-life balance. The benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, disability, and 401K plans, along with HSA/FSA options with employer contributions. Additionally, employees enjoy a values-based and inclusive culture characterized by Columbia Hospitality’s #OMGLIFE and Culture Add initiatives, promoting fresh perspectives and personal growth.
Employees also have access to referral bonuses, discounted lodging, dining, spa, golf, and retail services, employee assistance programs, volunteer opportunities through Columbia Cares, and chances to participate in various committees and task forces. Furthermore, an online learning platform is available to help team members grow their skills and careers. Third-party perks, including discounts on pet insurance, rental cars, movie and concert tickets, theme parks, and attractions, add additional value to working at Hotel Interurban.
Columbia Hospitality emphasizes a people-first approach, recognizing that its people are its purpose and brand. The organization is built on trust, respect, and genuine care for team members, fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace. Even if a candidate's experience does not perfectly align with every qualification, Columbia encourages applications from diverse backgrounds, affirming its commitment to authentic and inclusive hiring practices.
The role requires at least one year of related education, training, or experience, proficiency in operating computerized Point of Sale systems, and knowledge of mixing and serving various drinks. The bartender must be familiar with bar equipment, liquor laws, cash handling procedures, and hold a current State Food Handler's License and State Mixologist Permit. This position is ideal for those who want to grow within a supportive environment, delivering exceptional service in a vibrant and innovative hotel setting.
