Job Description

Midtown is a prestigious and dynamic restaurant known for delivering an outstanding culinary experience combined with exceptional service. Situated in a vibrant and bustling area, Midtown prides itself on creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for its guests. As a restaurant devoted to excellence, Midtown values both the quality of food and beverages served as well as the atmosphere that fosters connection and enjoyment among its patrons. The establishment features a team-oriented culture where collaboration and mutual support are central to its success. Midtown offers seasonal employment opportunities, providing an excellent platform for individuals seeking to gain valuable experience in the food and beverage industry while working in an engaging and fast-paced setting.

We are currently seeking a friendly and driven Seasonal Bartender to join our stellar food and beverage team from May 1 through September 30. This seasonal contract position requires availability for 28 to 40 hours per week, typically across 3 to 5 shifts, with mandatory weekend and holiday availability. The Seasonal Bartender plays a critical role in enhancing the restaurant's reputation by delivering exceptional customer service that ensures every guest feels welcomed and valued. This role involves skillfully preparing and serving cocktails and beverages, offering personalized recommendations, and engaging warmly with members and guests to create positive, lasting impressions.

As part of the Midtown team, the Seasonal Bartender will be an ambassador of hospitality, blending enthusiasm with professional expertise. The position involves maintaining a clean and well-stocked bar area, handling financial transactions accurately, and complying with all safety and legal requirements, including verifying the legal drinking age of customers. This opportunity offers much more than bartending duties; it includes exposure to diverse aspects of the hospitality business such as fitness, racquet sports, and spa services, enriching the overall employee experience.

Midtown supports a culture of learning and professional development where teamwork is highly valued. Bartenders at Midtown are expected to exceed service expectations while fostering a collaborative environment. The ability to adapt to a fast-paced workplace, communicate effectively, solve problems efficiently, and uphold a positive attitude are key qualities for success in this role. Mid-level experience, specifically two years in a cocktail-focused bar program, is preferred. Candidates should hold a Serv Safe Food Handlers Certificate and ideally have experience with Silverware POS systems.

This position offers competitive compensation starting at $12.62 per hour plus tips, dependent on experience and qualifications. Employees benefit from Midtown's comprehensive package, which includes health, dental, 401k plans, and restaurant membership perks. Midtown is committed to equal employment opportunities and encourages applicants with transferrable skills and educational background to apply, even if every requirement is not met. This role provides a unique opportunity for bartenders eager to advance their skills, contribute to a highly regarded restaurant, and be part of a motivated team dedicated to exceptional hospitality.
