The role of a Bartender at Canterbury Park is a tipped position responsible for delivering an outstanding hospitality experience across various service points including the Card Casino, live racing bars, and event bars. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Strong customer services skills
- Basic math skills
- Must be able to pass Canterbury Park's pre-employment screening which includes a criminal background check and verification of work history
- Must be able to attain a Minnesota Racing Commission (MRC) license

- Previous bartending experience
- TIPS/ServSafe alcohol certification is preferred
Job Duties
- Lead by example
- Responsible for maintaining a high degree of hospitality, as well as a positive and professional demeanor at all times
- Creates high levels of morale, fosters teamwork, inspires collaboration, and provides suggestions for growth to management
- Maintain prompt and courteous service to all Canterbury Park guests
- Responsible for assigned work station set-up and maintaining clean/neat station throughout shift
- Responsible for serving guests
- taking and delivering orders of food (if applicable) and refreshment efficiently, and finalizing transactions accurately
- Responsible for accurate cash, credit, and coupon handling utilizing assigned policies and SOPs
- Has documented alcohol service safety training
- Follow through on all policies and procedures in conjunction with alcohol awareness training (refusing service, asking for IDs, etc.)
- In charge of restocking, cleaning and resetting of work station for next shift
- In charge of filling out requisitions for next shift/day as needed
- Responsible for safekeeping of Canterbury Park Concessions cash, supplies and property
- Assist in all areas of Concessions Department when needed
- Perform all other duties as assigned
