Bartenders at Waverley Country Club are tasked with greeting members by name and remembering their drink preferences, preparing drinks according to established house recipes, and maintaining the bar's cleanliness and stock. Job Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends
  • Knowledge of common cocktails, wine, and beer
  • Must have a current Food Handlers Card and OLCC permit
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 30-45 pounds consistently
  • Maintain a high level of service during both busy and slow hours
  • Ability to effectively multi-task in a fast paced and deadline-oriented environment

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of common cocktails, wine, and beer
  • Current Food Handlers Card
  • OLCC permit
  • Ability to lift 30-45 pounds consistently
  • Experience working in hospitality or bartending preferred
  • Strong multitasking skills in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Maintain composure and professionalism in peak hours and slow times
  • Greet and acknowledge members by name and remember their drink preferences
  • Inspect bar prior to opening in coordination with the opening par sheet to ensure all supplies are ready for the shift
  • Prepare drinks according to house cocktail and standard drink recipes
  • Memorize house wines, liquors, and beer
  • Input food and drink orders accurately into the point-of-sale system
  • Prepare garnishes, mixes, and pre-mixed drinks
  • Stock bar as needed
  • maintain and clean all bar equipment including glassware
  • Be a part of a team that looks to consistently exceed members' expectations
  • Abide by sanitation requirements set by WCC and OSHA
  • Assist other members of the WCC team as needed, including but not limited to event set up and break downs
