The Bartender role at Life Time is essential in providing outstanding service within the club’s café and bar areas. This position requires adherence to alcohol serving laws and company policies to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all members and guests. The Bartender is responsible for preparing both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes, while engaging with customers to enhance their overall experience. This includes taking food orders and serving as necessary. Maintaining a clean and sanitized work environment is key to success in this role, along with managing inventory and cash handling responsibilities.
This position typically requires prior bartending experience and certification to serve alcohol, highlighting the importance of professionalism and knowledge in responsible beverage service. CPR/AED certification is also required early in the employment period to ensure safety standards are met. Physical capabilities such as the ability to lift items repeatedly and stand for extended periods are necessary to efficiently perform duties in a dynamic cafe setting. Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 to 2 years of bartending experience
- Certified to serve alcohol
- CPR/AED certification required within the first 30 days of hire
- Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift more than 20 lbs
- Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the Cafe for prolonged periods of time

Job Duties
- Follows recipes in order to appropriately prepare cocktails and other drinks, including adding garnish
- Serves members and customers in a timely fashion, including checking identification, accepting payment, and answering any questions that may arise
- Maintains cleanliness by cleaning bar surface, furniture, and equipment and returning used dishware to the bar or kitchen
- Maintains supplies by re-stocking liquors, wines, beer, and non-alcoholic ingredients and replacing beer barrels
- Reconciles the bar's cash register at the end of the shift
