Job Description

Pacific Hospitality Group is a distinguished company in the hospitality industry renowned for its unique owner/operator business model that benefits both investors and team members alike. As a family-focused organization, Pacific Hospitality Group is committed to long-term investments and sustainable growth, prioritizing the development of its business and enriching the lives of its employees. This approach ensures that the company remains focused on creating lasting value and nurturing a strong, collaborative team environment. The company’s vision extends beyond business success — it is dedicated to offering memorable experiences to its guests, giving back to the communities where it operates, and honoring its core values through principled entrepreneurship.

Operating within the hospitality sector, Pacific Hospitality Group places a large emphasis on integrity, compliance, and a customer-centric approach. Its guiding principles also include humility, respect, knowledge, fulfillment, and an openness to change, which collectively cultivate a positive workplace culture that supports both employee and guest satisfaction.

The role in focus here is for a Food and Beverage Server position, ideal for individuals who aspire to work in a hotel or resort environment, delivering exceptional dining experiences to guests. Candidates accepted for this role will be part of a team that values high standards of service, ensures compliance with health and safety laws, and maintains meticulous attention to detail when it comes to guest needs and preferences.

As a Food and Beverage Server, you will be responsible for enhancing guest satisfaction by helping customers choose menu items, including recommending cocktails, wines, and explaining the chef’s specialties with enthusiasm and expertise. You will log orders into the point of sale (POS) system accurately, accommodate special dietary requests, and communicate meal timing to kitchen staff to facilitate smooth service. Equally important is your role in handling payment transactions, balancing cash registers, maintaining clean work areas, and ensuring dining spaces are thoughtfully prepared with all necessary dining accoutrements.

Safety and compliance are paramount in this position. You are expected to wear non-slip, oil-resistant shoes, adhere to all food handling and sanitation guidelines, and follow OSHA laws and hotel safety policies including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Reporting and responding to safety hazards is also crucial to maintain a safe working environment for both staff and guests.

Regular attendance and punctuality are essential, as is the ability to complete side work during shifts to support team efficiency. Maintaining a professional demeanor while being alert to guests’ needs will ensure a quality dining experience. Furthermore, you will be tasked with handling guest complaints diplomatically, reporting unusual events or safety issues promptly, and ensuring that no alcoholic beverages are served to minors or intoxicated individuals.

This role presents an excellent opportunity for individuals with at least one year of food service experience, preferably in a hotel or resort setting, and those who possess knowledge of food and beverage preparation and customer etiquette. The company supports the professional growth of its team members and encourages certifications such as the Food Handlers Card and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification, offering support to obtain these within 30 days of employment. Proficiency with POS systems used in hospitality settings is also advantageous.

Pacific Hospitality Group is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion, prohibiting discrimination and harassment based on race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability, genetics, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other protected characteristic. The inclusive policy applies to all employment aspects including recruitment, hiring, training, promotion, and compensation. By joining this company, you become part of a team dedicated to excellence, personal growth, and community contribution, all while delivering outstanding experiences to guests.
