Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of food service experience
- Knowledge of food safety and beverage service standards
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks
- Willingness to adhere to safety and hygiene protocols
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- One year of food service experience preferably in a hotel or resort environment
- Knowledge of food and beverage preparation and hotel service standards
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to a high level of guest satisfaction
- Ability to learn and use POS computer systems
- Valid Food Handlers Card and RBS Certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
Job Duties
- Help guests select food and beverages by presenting menu and offering cocktails and aperitifs
- Enter orders to POS system and record guest choices and special requests
- Keep kitchen staff informed on meal timing
- Process guest payment transactions accurately and close out table
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and keep areas stocked
- Prepare dining rooms by setting tables with decorations, condiments, and utensils
- Follow all food handling, sanitation, health department, and safety guidelines including PPE usage
