Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of food service experience
  • Knowledge of food safety and beverage service standards
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks
  • Willingness to adhere to safety and hygiene protocols
  • Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • One year of food service experience preferably in a hotel or resort environment
  • Knowledge of food and beverage preparation and hotel service standards
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to a high level of guest satisfaction
  • Ability to learn and use POS computer systems
  • Valid Food Handlers Card and RBS Certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days

Job Duties

  • Help guests select food and beverages by presenting menu and offering cocktails and aperitifs
  • Enter orders to POS system and record guest choices and special requests
  • Keep kitchen staff informed on meal timing
  • Process guest payment transactions accurately and close out table
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas and keep areas stocked
  • Prepare dining rooms by setting tables with decorations, condiments, and utensils
  • Follow all food handling, sanitation, health department, and safety guidelines including PPE usage
