Job Description
Pacific Hospitality Group is a distinguished hospitality company that operates with a unique owner/operator approach, setting it apart in the hotel and resort industry. As a family-focused organization, Pacific Hospitality Group is dedicated to fostering sustainable growth and long-term value creation for both its investors and team members. The company’s mission revolves around enriching the lives of guests by delivering memorable experiences, giving back to local communities, and upholding values that honor God. With a strong commitment to these principles, Pacific Hospitality Group has built a reputation for integrity, compliance, customer focus, and principled entrepreneurship, making it a sought-after employer within the hospitality sector.
The company’s core values include integrity, respect, humility, knowledge, and fulfillment, which collectively shape its culture and business practices. This commitment to upholding high standards and ethical behavior ensures that both guests and employees feel valued and respected. By prioritizing long-term holds and growth strategies, Pacific Hospitality Group provides a stable and supportive work environment that fosters career development and team member enrichment.
The role being offered is that of a Food and Beverage Server within the hotel/resort environment, designed for individuals who are passionate about hospitality and guest service. This position plays a crucial part in delivering a high-level dining experience by assisting guests in selecting menu items, presenting food and beverages, processing orders through POS systems, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience. The Food and Beverage Server is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, adhering to health and safety guidelines, and contributing to a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the dining area.
This role requires a professional who can balance attentive service with maintaining a professional distance, ensuring that guests feel both well-cared for and comfortable. The server will be responsible for accurately entering orders, managing special dietary requests, and coordinating with kitchen staff to ensure meal timing aligns with guest expectations. Handling payments with accuracy, maintaining service area readiness, and preparing tables with proper dining accessories also fall within the scope of responsibilities.
Safety is a paramount concern in this role, and the Food and Beverage Server must comply with safety policies, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Reporting safety issues and maintaining knowledge of hazardous materials protocols are integral to ensuring a safe working environment for all. The server also acts as a frontline representative of the hotel who must identify and appropriately respond to food and beverage concerns, guest complaints, and ensure that minors or intoxicated individuals are not served alcoholic beverages.
Ideal candidates for this position bring at least one year of food service experience, preferably in a hotel or resort setting, along with knowledge of food and beverage preparation and hotel service standards. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for creating a welcoming and satisfying guest experience. Certification such as a valid Food Handlers Card and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification is highly desirable, though willingness to obtain these certifications within 30 days of employment is acceptable.
Pacific Hospitality Group values diversity and equality, committing to equal employment opportunities and prohibiting discrimination or harassment based on race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability, genetics, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other protected characteristic. This inclusive policy applies to all aspects of employment, ensuring a fair and supportive workplace environment. Overall, this Food and Beverage Server role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals motivated to grow their careers in a reputable company dedicated to excellence in hospitality and team member development.
