The role of Seasonal Advanced Food & Beverage Park Worker II & III within Milwaukee County Parks is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about food service and customer engagement. As a Food & Beverage Park Worker, you will be integral to enhancing visitors’ experiences across Milwaukee County Parks by providing excellent food and beverage service while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

In this role, you will be part of a close-knit team that values connection, growth, and enjoyment in the workplace. Your responsibilities will include preparing, serving, and selling food and beverages at various park locations, including offices, clubhouses, beer gardens, service areas, and restrooms. Attention to detail is critical as you will also manage cash transactions, maintain cleanliness across multiple venues, demonstrate thorough knowledge of menu items, follow proper food preparation techniques, and adhere strictly to safe alcohol service protocols. You will be responsible for accurate cash register operation and financial record keeping including daily safe logs, deposit slips, and register closeouts.

Job Requirements

  • Current resident of Wisconsin
  • at least 16 years old at time of application
  • ability to work flexible seasonal hours
  • willingness to comply with all health and safety regulations
  • ability to perform physical tasks related to food and beverage service

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • food and beverage service experience preferred
  • cash handling experience preferred
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • positive attitude and strong work ethic

Job Duties

  • Stock and sell food and beverages
  • handle cash
  • operate cash registers
  • assist customers
  • maintain proper cleanliness of all food and beverage operation areas including office, clubhouse, beer garden, service areas, and bathrooms
  • demonstrate knowledge of menu items
  • adhere to proper food preparation and safe alcohol service standards
  • complete daily safe and deposit logs, register deposits, deposit slips, and register closeout
  • perform all other duties as assigned
