The role being offered is a critical position within the Seafood Department of Whole Foods Market. This entry-level retail position involves supporting the seafood team by executing duties that include customer counter service, stocking, and sanitation. Team Members in this role are expected to maintain the highest standards of product quality and freshness while ensuring the seafood displays are visually appealing to customers. Key responsibilities include managing product inventory, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the work area, assisting with sampling programs, and preparing seafood products by skinning, boning, cooking, or smoking fish. This role requires excellent communication skills, a proactive sales approach, and adherence to health and safety regulations including food safety standards specific to the seafood department.
