Job Requirements

Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Ability to stand and walk for 6-8 hours during an 8-hour workday
Hand use including single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
Ability to perform bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching motions
Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
Ability to work in wet and cold environments
Ability to handle knives and other cutting equipment safely
Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to use tools and equipment such as box cutters and electric pallet jacks
No prior retail experience required

Job Duties

Ensures a fresh and appealing seafood display by checking quality, stocking, and cleaning
Maintains accurate signage and pricing in the seafood department
Keeps back stock organized and in good order
Maintains a safe, clean, and well-organized work and shopping environment
Assists with the sampling program, ensuring sample areas are full and clean
Cleans cases, glass, signs, coolers, smokers, floors, and drains as required
Skins, bones, cooks, or smokes fish, and properly labels cooked fish
Assists with periodic inventory checks
Provides excellent customer service, addressing customer needs promptly
Maximizes sales potential through effective product handling and merchandising
Follows procedures related to weights and measures, health, sanitation, and safety
Performs opening, mid, and closing duties including pricing accuracy
Reports safety hazards and violations immediately
Adheres to store policies and leadership directives
Works scheduled shifts and attends required training and meetings
