Job Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Standing and walking for 6-8 hours during an 8-hour shift
- Capability to use hands for grasping, manipulation, pushing and pulling
- Ability to perform motions such as bending, twisting, squatting and reaching
- Comfortable working with FDA approved cleaning chemicals
- Ability to work in cold, wet environments with temperatures ranging from freezing to above 90 degrees Fahrenheit
- Skilled in handling knives and other cutting equipment safely
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to operate tools and machinery including box cutters and electric pallet jacks
- No prior retail experience required

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to sell proactively
- Basic knowledge of seafood products is a plus
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to visually assess product freshness and quality
- Ability to follow directions and procedures

Job Duties
- Ensures fresh and appealing seafood display by checking quality, cleaning and stocking cases and shelves, rotating and removing out-of-date products, filling ice tables
- Maintains accurate department signage and pricing
- Maintains back stock in good order
- Keeps a safe, clean and well-organized working and shopping environment
- Assists with seafood sampling programs, ensuring sample areas are full, clean and attractive
- Cleans cases, glass, signs, uprights, coolers, smokers, floors, and drains as required
- Skins, bones, cooks or smokes fish, labels and dates cooked fish
- Participates in periodic inventory checks
- Arrives on time, groomed, dressed appropriately, works scheduled shifts and attends required trainings
- Provides excellent customer service including suggestive selling, answers phones and pages courteously
- Maximizes sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking and merchandising of seafood products
- Follows compliance with health, sanitation, weights and measures, and safe work practices
- Maintains cleanliness and safety standards of equipment and work environment
- Performs opening, mid, and closing duties and ensures accuracy of signage and pricing
- Reports safety hazards and violations promptly
- Performs other duties as assigned by leadership
