Job Requirements

  • Minimum age 18 years
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including grasping, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, twisting, crouching, and reaching
  • Capability to perform repetitive motion and coordination tasks
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and handle heavy objects up to 30 pounds
  • Compliance with workplace safety and sanitation policies
  • Ability to respond to customer inquiries

Job Duties

  • Perform bakery functions such as mixing, scaling, proofing, baking, frying, and finishing bakery items according to standard procedures
  • Understand basic bakery terms and processes including fermentation, bench time, proofing, and temperature effects
  • Assist in ordering bakery ingredients and supplies and maintain inventory levels per department policy
  • Fill, rotate, arrange, and merchandise displays and display cases
  • Handle pricing, dating, wrapping, or bagging of bakery products in accordance with Bakery Merchant directives
  • Engage in proactive self-development to assume additional duties
  • Comply with all company safety and accident prevention policies and report accidents
  • Clean and sanitize bakery areas and equipment as directed
  • Maintain bakery equipment in good working order and recommend repairs
