Job Description
GDIT is a leading global technology and professional services company dedicated to delivering innovative technology solutions and mission services to a wide array of U.S. government agencies, defense, and intelligence communities. With a skilled workforce of more than 26,000 experts operating in over 50 countries worldwide, GDIT applies cutting-edge advancements in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and software development to meet the evolving demands of national security and government missions. The company’s commitment to innovation and excellence ensures it plays an essential role in driving forward mission success for its clients.
One of GDIT’s key areas of operation includes supporting US Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM), a Combatant Command responsible for strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and critical enterprise IT services that underpin national security. USSTRATCOM's mission scope covers Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO), Global Strike capabilities, and Missile Threat Assessments, collaborating closely across multiple defense and intelligence agencies. The SCITLS (Strategic Command Integrated Tactical and Logistics Support) unit under USSTRATCOM plays a vital role by providing 24/7 IT services and network support for secure classified environments such as NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR.
GDIT is currently seeking qualified professionals with expertise in Microsoft Power BI and SharePoint administration for the SCITLS Power BI/SharePoint Administrator Principal position based at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. This is an onsite, day-shift role, where on-call responsibilities may arise. Although there is no immediate vacancy, GDIT welcomes expressions of interest from candidates aligned with the qualifications and experience for this pivotal role.
The Power BI/SharePoint Administrator Principal will be instrumental in administering and managing Power Platform and SharePoint systems that are critical for supporting USSTRATCOM’s enterprise infrastructure. This role involves a deep understanding of the Power BI and SharePoint ecosystems including user access management, configuration, integration, and governance. The incumbent will be responsible for managing on-premises data gateways, creating and regulating data sources, user accounts, and enforcing data governance policies to ensure data integrity and security.
In addition to technical management, the role requires collaboration with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to effectively support the organization's data analytics and operational needs. A significant component includes providing user support, troubleshooting issues, onboarding, and conducting training sessions. Strong communication skills are essential for translating complex technical concepts into actionable guidance for users and stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, building, and administering SharePoint front-end environment including lists, libraries, site collections, and data governance frameworks while ensuring seamless integration with Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, and BI platforms. Proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Data Analysis Expressions (DAX), Power Query (M Language), and JavaScript is required to perform data transformation, shaping, and interactive reporting tasks.
Furthermore, the role emphasizes maintaining Power BI and SharePoint licensing and security groups, and managing user access provisioning to support organizational standards and policies. A thorough understanding of ETL processes, data pipelines, and cloud/on-premise data source connectivity (like SQL Server, Azure) is necessary to uphold data workflows and system integrity.
Candidates must hold or be able to obtain ITIL Foundation v4 or v5 certification, along with one of several specified cybersecurity certifications such as CompTIA Cloud+, GIAC GICSP, GIAC GSEC, or ISC2 SSCP. The position requires an active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility and U.S. citizenship. The ideal applicants are ready to make a significant impact in supporting national security through their exceptional technical skills and dedication to excellence.
This role is anticipated to have a salary range of $111,155 to $150,385, subject to experience, location, and contractual factors. At GDIT, employees benefit from a growth-oriented, flexible, and rewarding work environment that values innovation, career development, and a strong community culture.
