Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years of experience in institutional food service with supervisory experience
- Obtain ServSafe certification or complete Tennessee Department of Education Food Safety and Schools Certificate Program within one year
- Proof of education, training, and/or experience required
- Ability to oversee compliance with regulations
- Capacity to work in complex environments
- Strong communication and decision-making skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years of experience in institutional food service
- Experience in food service supervision
- Must obtain ServSafe certification or Tennessee Department of Education Food Safety and Schools Certificate Program within one year of employment
- Ability to manage multiple sites and coordinate supplies
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
Job Duties
- Ensure the efficient operation of the school cafeteria
- Supervise cafeteria staff
- Order foods and supplies
- Oversee food planning, preparation and service
- Supervise point-of-sale terminal operation and financial reporting
- Provide food services for satellite sites or operate cluster schools or high volume locations
- Ensure compliance with District, Board policies and State, Federal regulations
