Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- at least one year of janitorial experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- ability to work safely with chemicals and cleaning materials
- physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted, bend, stand, climb, twist, and walk
- ability to read, write, understand, and speak English
- reliable and punctual
- ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- good interpersonal skills
Job Qualifications
- at least one year of janitorial experience or any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved
- ability to work safely in an environment containing chemicals, cleaning materials, dust, and noise
- understanding and ability to carry out oral and written directions
- ability to transport products and equipment from room to room
- effective communication skills in English to interact with children and their parents
Job Duties
- perform cleaning duties such as cleaning classrooms, floors, restrooms, and hallways
- operate cleaning equipment and use designated chemicals and other cleaning products safely and in accordance with instructions
- collect and dispose of garbage and waste according to KinderCare's waste removal and recycling policies
- maintain a safe and orderly environment for children and staff
- monitor cleaning supplies and report shortages
- adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols
- support team members in maintaining cleanliness throughout the center
