Job Requirements

  • Experience in related field or bachelor's degree in social work, human services
  • 3-5 years experience with Medicaid population in HMO or MCO setting
  • Ability to perform up to 50% local travel in Clark County
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of Medicaid enrollment and disenrollment processes
  • Preferred bilingual Spanish
  • Preferred graduate degree
  • Preferred community health worker certification
  • Preferred school-based experience

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, or related field
  • Experience working with Medicaid population in HMO or managed care organization
  • Knowledge of Medicaid enrollment and disenrollment processes
  • Ability to analyze data trends and develop member retention strategies
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Preferred: graduate degree in social work, human services or related field
  • Preferred: bilingual Spanish
  • Preferred: community health worker certification
  • Preferred: school-based experience

Job Duties

  • Perform outreach activities with each school district in Nevada at least quarterly
  • Handle pediatric care coordination including supporting families with care coordination needs such as new patient care, transportation, home health/DME, and nutrition supports
  • Manage enrollment and disenrollment processes according to AHCCCS requirements
  • Analyze disenrollment data and develop strategies to reduce disenrollment rates
  • Collaborate with MHI on 90-day redetermination strategies
  • Develop governance process involving all departments to manage disenrollment and retention efforts
  • Participate in statewide advocacy programs and collaborate with external advocates and ombudsmen
