Job Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Two or more years experience in custodial cleaning
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work on foot for extended periods up to 4 hours
- Ability to operate hand tools and small power tools
- Knowledge of HAZMAT regulations and Safety Data Sheets
- Ability to pass a criminal history background check
- For Arizona employees, ability to obtain and hold a valid IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
- For Nevada employees, ability to pass NV Fingerprint Background Check
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Two or more years experience in custodial cleaning
- Preferred five or more years experience in custodial cleaning in a school setting
- Basic knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and products
- Preferred expert knowledge of cleaning methods, including power and hand tools or willingness to learn
Job Duties
- Clean and maintain building facilities including classrooms, break rooms, conference rooms, and more
- Perform room set-ups for scheduled meetings and events including daily cafeteria set-up
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors using cleaning solutions, tools, and equipment
- Clean and polish walls, ceilings, windows, building fixtures, and whiteboards
- Clean entryways, hallways, door mats, and door glass daily
- Dust furniture, walls, light fixtures, baseboards, student desks, and other equipment
- Gather and empty trash
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms daily
- Clean and service cleaning equipment daily and as needed
- Apply wax or sealers to wood or concrete floors as directed
- Assist in building security by locking and unlocking doors and gates
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as light bulb and filter changes
- Notify management of material/supply needs and major repairs
- Operate cleaning machines and tools including hand and power tools, vacuum, floor buffer, and wheeled carts
- Follow HAZMAT regulations and understand Safety Data Sheets
- Flex hours and duties during summer school schedule as needed
