This role does not require prior experience or formal educational credentials, as on-the-job training is provided. Additionally, custodians will be tasked with minor maintenance reporting and fostering professional communication with team members and clients. Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- No experience required, on the job training provided
- No high school diploma, GED or college degree required
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to cleaning duties
- Availability to work flexible hours as needed
Job Qualifications
- Prior customer service experience preferred
- One year of prior similar work experience preferred
- Ability to perform manual tasks
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Clean and maintain assigned area including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, and stairways
- Sweep, remove debris, clean spills, and mop floors in designated areas
- Regularly check and empty trash receptacles
- Follow procedures for use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage
- Notify lead cleaner or manager about repair needs
- Establish and maintain effective communication with clients, co-workers, supervisors, and managers
- Collect, consolidate, and separate recycling into proper receptacles
