This role is ideal for individuals who are either entering the workforce for the first time or returning after a break, with limited formal education or prior work experience. Custodians will follow strict protocols for the safe use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to school property. Additionally, custodians will manage waste disposal and recycling, inspect and report any necessary repairs or maintenance issues to supervisors, and foster positive working relationships with clients, coworkers, and management personnel. Seasonal tasks such as leaf raking, snow removal, and grass cutting may also be part of the role.
