We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced School Custodian to join our team and support cleaning operations within K-12 schools, colleges, and university campus environments. This role entails performing general cleaning duties to ensure the safety, cleanliness, and comfort of school buildings and grounds. The position is ideal for individuals entering or returning to the workforce, as no prior experience or formal education credentials are required. Training is provided on the job, making it accessible for motivated candidates. As a School Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining multiple areas on campus including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, and stairways. Your duties will include sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing hard surfaces like woodwork and stainless steel, emptying trash receptacles, and utilizing chemical cleaners and equipment correctly to prevent damage. You will play a vital role in maintaining functional and sanitary facilities by reporting necessary building repairs to management and complying with safety and quality standards set by ABM, clients, and regulatory authorities. The role may also include outdoor seasonal tasks such as snow removal, leaf raking, and grass cutting.

This role requires establishing and maintaining effective communication with clients, co-workers, supervisors, and managers. You will also participate in waste management activities such as collecting and separating recyclables in designated receptacles. Additional responsibilities include cleaning furniture, equipment in food areas, windows, glass partitions, mirrors, and internal fixtures to ensure a welcoming, clean environment for students, staff, and visitors.
