As a School Custodian, individuals will perform tasks such as sweeping, mopping, removing debris, cleaning spills, emptying trash receptacles, and maintaining the overall tidiness of the facility. They will also handle use of chemical cleaners and power equipment responsibly to prevent damage to property. The role involves minor reporting of repair needs and collaborating effectively with fellow custodians, supervisors, and facility managers to ensure smooth operations. Responsibilities extend to cleaning furniture, polishing hard surfaces, washing windows and glass partitions, and seasonal maintenance like snow removal and lawn care. Custodians are expected to uphold all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards mandated by ABM, the clients, and relevant regulatory authorities.
ABM values and encourages applicants with military experience, recognizing the valuable skills and discipline veterans bring to the team. The company is proud to offer a supportive, military-friendly work environment with access to world-class training and career advancement opportunities.
