Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- No experience required and on the job training provided
- No high school diploma GED or college degree required
- Ability to perform manual labor and physical tasks
- Willingness to comply with safety regulations
- Ability to work flexible hours if needed
Job Qualifications
- Prior customer service experience preferred
- One year of prior similar work experience preferred
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to follow safety and cleaning procedures
- Good communication skills
- Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment
- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety standards
Job Duties
- Clean and maintain assigned area such as classrooms hallways restrooms locker rooms offices and stairways
- Sweep remove debris clean spills and mop floors in designated areas
- Regularly check and empty trash receptacles in all designated areas
- Follow procedures for use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage
- Notify lead cleaner or manager of needed repairs or additions to building systems
- Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients coworkers shift coordinators supervisors and managers
- Collect consolidate and separate recycling into proper receptacles
- Clean and dust desks chairs tables furniture fixtures doors sills floors ceilings and walls
- Polish hard surfaces such as woodwork and stainless steel surfaces
- Wipe and clean tabletops chairs and equipment in food areas
- Move cabinets boxes furniture crates and equipment manually or using hand trucks
- Clean interior partition glass windows glass partitions and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners sponges and squeegees
- Sweep walks rake leaves cut grass remove snow or perform other incidental seasonal tasks
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms including cleaning and polishing
- Comply with all safety security compliance and quality standards and procedures established by the company clients and regulatory authorities
