Founded in 1975 as a ministry of High Point Church, this school is part of the Impact Christian Schools network, offering quality educational opportunities with a strong focus on spiritual growth as well as academic excellence. As a non-denominational evangelical school, HPCS prides itself on creating an inclusive and nurturing atmosphere where students, staff, and families work together to foster learning, character development, and community engagement. Madison itself is known for its exceptional quality of life, with vibrant cultural scenes, excellent healthcare facilities, top-notch educational institutions, and safe neighborhoods, making it an ideal place for families and professionals alike.
High Point Christian School is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced School Chef to join their team for the 2026-2027 school year at their Madison campus located at 7702 Old Sauk Road. The role will focus on overseeing the school’s lunch program, which serves 80-150 elementary and middle school students daily. The selected candidate will be responsible for the full spectrum of kitchen operations including menu planning, food preparation, purchasing, inventory management, kitchen sanitation, and ensuring cost efficiency. This position plays a critical role in supporting the school's mission by providing nutritious, balanced meals that cater to student preferences while adhering to sound nutritional standards. The chef will work closely with the lunchroom coordinator to align the food program with the school’s operational needs and budget constraints, ensuring meals are prepared and served efficiently.
The ideal candidate will have a positive, cooperative attitude and demonstrate the ability to work independently with initiative and accountability. Experience managing kitchen operations, negotiating with food suppliers, and enforcing food safety and sanitation standards is essential. Additionally, the candidate should be comfortable working in a school environment alongside students, staff, and volunteers while maintaining professionalism and supporting the school’s Christian values. This full-time position offers competitive compensation at $25.00 per hour and includes comprehensive benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance options, life and disability coverage, 401(k) plan, tuition discounts for employees’ dependent children, holiday pay, paid time off, and summers off. The position start date is July 25, 2026, and the application deadline remains open until filled. This opportunity is ideal for a culinary professional passionate about healthy food, education, and community contribution within a well-respected Christian academic institution.
