Job Description

The school is currently seeking a motivated and organized individual to join its nutrition team as a School Cafeteria Supervisor. This role plays a critical leadership position in ensuring the smooth operation of the school cafeteria and the delivery of wholesome meals to students in a safe, clean, and friendly environment. Working during school days and daylight hours with no evening, weekend, or holiday shifts, the position offers a family-friendly schedule and an opportunity to positively impact the daily lives of students. The supervisor will oversee cafeteria staff, coordinate meal preparation and service, and maintain compliance with all relevant food safety and nutrition regulations. The ideal candidate will possess leadership capabilities, experience in food service or cafeteria management, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and customer experience. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous food service experience preferred
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • ServSafe certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Job Duties

  • Supervise daily cafeteria operations and staff

  • Train and support cafeteria employees
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal nutrition guidelines
  • Maintain a positive dining experience for students and staff
  • Complete required reports and documentation
