Job Description

This educational institution is dedicated to fostering academic achievement and personal growth in K-8 students by addressing their diverse communication needs. As a reputable organization within the education sector, it focuses on creating inclusive and supportive environments where every child can thrive and reach their full potential. The school emphasizes collaboration among educators, families, and specialists to ensure comprehensive support for young learners. It offers a full-time, contract-based opportunity starting in early August and extending through May, structured as a 32-hour workweek across four days to provide a balanced professional schedule with extended weekends for rest and rejuvenation.

The role of Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in this institution is a rewarding position designed for professionals passionate about making a tangible difference in students' lives. This role involves working closely with a caseload of approximately 60-70 students from kindergarten through eighth grade, including both self-contained and cross-categorical groups. The position offers flexibility in service delivery, allowing the SLP to either supervise a full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) or to directly provide traditional speech-language pathology services based on individual strengths and interests. The SLP will play a critical role in assessing, planning, and implementing communication interventions that support students' academic and social success.

Central to this position is collaboration with educators and families to develop individualized plans tailored to each student’s unique communication needs. The SLP will deliver both direct and consultative services, provide group interventions, and contribute actively to multidisciplinary teams supporting a positive learning environment. This role demands excellent organizational skills to maintain required documentation and ensure compliance with educational standards and regulations. Additionally, it offers an opportunity for professional growth within a dynamic and collaborative school community, where enthusiasm for supporting student achievement is highly valued. Candidates with experience in school settings and those holding relevant certifications and licenses will find this opportunity aligns well with their career aspirations, allowing them to impact young lives meaningfully while benefiting from a supportive and structured work environment.
