Job Description
Zen Educate is a dynamic educational staffing company focused on addressing the critical shortage of educators by connecting schools with skilled teaching assistants and paraprofessionals. They specialize in creating efficient, smart matches that benefit schools, staff, and ultimately, the students and communities they serve. Operating as a vital link between educational institutions and passionate individuals, Zen Educate facilitates rewarding employment opportunities that support inclusive and supportive learning environments. Their mission is to ensure that schools have the personnel needed to foster student success, especially in special education settings where individualized support is essential.
Zen Educate is actively seeking Para Educators for the 2026-2027 school year, offering a rewarding role that provides direct support to students with special needs across a spectrum including mild, moderate, and severe educational requirements. This position is designed for individuals passionate about making a tangible difference in the lives of children by promoting their development, learning, and well-being within school settings. As Para Educators, candidates will play a key role in personalized education, behavioral management, and classroom assistance, helping to bridge the gap between students’ unique challenges and their educational growth.
The role involves implementing individualized behavior plans, supporting classroom teachers, and monitoring student progress to adapt interventions as necessary. Para Educators will work closely with special education teachers, behavior analysts, families, and other school staff to create a cohesive and supportive environment. This is a physically active role, requiring candidates to remain engaged throughout the school day, assist students safely, and respond to their needs proactively.
Candidates for this opportunity should have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, experience working with children who have special educational needs, and a genuine enthusiasm for special education. U.S. work authorization is required, and while CPR and First Aid certifications will be provided to qualified candidates, proficiency in English is essential. The position offers a competitive hourly wage between $24 and $28, paid weekly, with a schedule from Monday to Friday within standard school hours, typically between 7:30 am and 4:30 pm, without weekend requirements.
Zen Educate not only values the skills and dedication of its Para Educators but invests in their growth and safety by providing necessary certifications and maintaining regular communication to support their professional journey. The benefits include paid sick leave and eligibility for a 401K plan, reflecting the company’s commitment to employee well-being and financial security.
This role represents an exciting opportunity for individuals eager to contribute meaningfully to special education while gaining hands-on experience within schools. By joining Zen Educate, Para Educators become part of a supportive network dedicated to educational excellence and student empowerment. The company encourages interested candidates to apply promptly, as roles are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, ensuring the best match for both the educator and the school community before the new academic year starts.
