Job Description
Zen Educate is a leading educational staffing platform dedicated to addressing the ongoing educator shortage by connecting schools with passionate teaching assistants and paraprofessionals. Our mission is to support schools and their communities by facilitating smart and fast matches between schools and skilled education professionals, ensuring a positive impact on student learning experiences. As a company committed to educational excellence and community growth, Zen Educate prides itself on fostering an environment where both staff and students thrive. We actively recruit classroom aides and teaching assistants who share our dedication to nurturing student development and supporting classroom teachers in a dynamic and collaborative learning environment.
The School Aide role at Zen Educate offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with students and teachers in various educational settings during the 2026-2027 school year. This in-person role requires individuals who are ready to contribute to creating a supportive and effective classroom atmosphere. Candidates selected for this position will play a vital role in preparing learning materials, supervising students during activities and transitions, and assisting teachers in meeting the diverse needs of all learners. This role is more than just an assistant position; it is a chance to influence the educational journey of students by reinforcing lessons, maintaining safe and conducive learning environments, and providing personal care support when necessary.
The position is hourly paid, offering between $22 and $25 per hour, with weekly pay schedules. Work hours are Monday through Friday, during typical school day hours from 7:30 am to either 3:00 pm or 4:30 pm, with no weekend requirements. This schedule is ideal for those who seek a stable, consistent work-life balance during the academic year. Zen Educate values professionals who are ready to bring their experience, empathy, and energy into the classroom to support learning and student well-being.
Ideal candidates will have previous experience working with children, especially those with special educational needs, and should be comfortable providing personal care assistance such as toileting support. Physical stamina is essential, as the role involves being on your feet and moving around the classroom most of the day, as well as safely assisting students with various physical activities. Additional preferred qualifications include prior work experience in a school setting and CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training, which equips staff with skills for managing challenging situations.
Zen Educate is committed to providing a supportive employment experience, offering benefits including paid sick leave, weekly pay, and access to a 401K plan subject to eligibility. By joining Zen Educate as a School Aide, candidates become part of a community that values educational equity, professional growth, and making a meaningful difference in students' lives. If you are passionate about education and ready to help shape the future of learning by ensuring every student reaches their full potential, apply today to secure your classroom role for the upcoming school year.
