The Scheduling Coordinator role at EMC is a critical position, central to the smooth operation of the company’s service teams. As the main communication point, you will track work orders, parts inventory, warranty coverage, billing milestones, and after-hours emergency calls. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining clear and calm communication under pressure.

EMC values candidates who have at least two years of experience in dispatching or routing technicians in environments such as industrial, mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or diesel services. Job Requirements

  • minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience dispatching or routing service technicians in technical or industrial environments
  • proficiency with scheduling software and communication tools
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to stand or walk for extended periods
  • ability to lift and move regularly up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • visual acuity including close vision and the ability to adjust focus

Job Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience routing or dispatching service technicians (industrial, mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, diesel, etc.)
  • strong customer service skills confident, clear, and calm under pressure
  • comfort working with mechanical and electrical terminology and diagrams
  • ability to quickly absorb technical information and relay it effectively
  • previous experience working with engines, mechanical devices, or industrial equipment is a plus
  • strong problem-solving abilities especially when priorities change quickly
  • ability to understand OEM vs. aftermarket parts

Job Duties

  • Schedule and dispatch generator technicians, field engineers, and motor shop personnel
  • serve as the main communication point between customers, technicians, managers, and sales
  • review work orders, parts needs, and technical details to assign the right technician to every job
  • track jobs from start to finish including PMRs, billing steps, warranty needs, and follow-up
  • manage after-hours emergency call routing and technician schedules
  • support inside sales by following up on quotes and jobs awaiting parts
  • communicate with accounting regarding customers on credit hold
  • partner with vendors on warranty and start-up documentation
