The Scheduler role at Home Care Providers is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who thrive in a dynamic healthcare setting and enjoy coordinating complex schedules to optimize patient care. This full-time, office-based position located in Indianapolis offers a starting pay of $20 per hour. As a Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in managing patient visits by assigning registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other clinical staff through the company's specialized scheduling platform called Paseva. Your responsibilities will directly impact the quality and efficiency of care delivery, ensuring patients receive the right care at the right time. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of scheduling within a healthcare context.

In addition to coordinating clinical visits, the Scheduler supports clinical directors with staff evaluations and onboarding processes, handles documentation of field staff incidents and complaints, and maintains important records including schedules and weekly reports. You will also collaborate with case managers to supervise and facilitate visits by auxiliary healthcare providers such as LPNs, LVNs, PTAs, COTAs, and aides. Administrative duties including scanning, filing, emailing, and medical records management are part of the daily routine, reflecting the multifaceted nature of this position. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of experience scheduling in a healthcare environment
  • Experience working in a medical office setting
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and office technology
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work full-time on-site in Indianapolis
  • Reliable and detail-oriented
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism

Job Qualifications

  • 2+ years of scheduling in a healthcare setting (home health preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience in a medical office
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and coding
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Ability to work 8 AM - 5 PM from Indianapolis office

Job Duties

  • Schedule visits for newly referred patients and assign appropriate clinical staff
  • Coordinate staff schedules, PTO, call-offs, and special visit requests
  • Communicate with patients regarding scheduling and specific needs
  • Track and maintain SOC spreadsheets and weekly reports
  • Assist Clinical Directors with staff evaluations and onboarding
  • Document and report field staff incidents/complaints
  • Enter communications in Call Log and provide related reports
  • Support Case Managers with LPN/LVN, PTA, COTA, and aide supervisory visits
  • Handle office tasks: scanning, filing, emailing, medical records management
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues
  • Maintain a professional, positive attitude at all times
