The position available is for a Scenic River Barista located within the Medina Hospital coffee shop, operated by Buehler's Fresh Foods. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic food-service setting focused on preparing and serving specialty coffee and beverage items. The Barista will work closely alongside the Lead Barista, Food Service Manager, and other team members to deliver exceptional customer experiences. The primary responsibility of the Barista is to prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages including coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, and teas following established food production procedures and quality standards. Attention to detail, adherence to rigorous sanitation and hygiene standards, and food safety are paramount in this role.

A typical day involves organizing and preparing beverage orders accurately and efficiently while managing supplies and maintaining cleanliness in the work area. The Barista is also responsible for checking equipment function, food storage, and communicating menu options to customers, ensuring they have a positive and customized experience. Accuracy in order processing and the ability to operate point-of-sale systems are also essential to this role.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate characteristics such as being people-minded, customer-oriented, product-minded, stable under pressure, detail-focused, and open-minded. Flexibility in scheduling, including availability on weekends and holidays, is crucial due to fluctuating customer demand in a hospital setting. Although prior Barista experience is a plus, Buehler's Fresh Foods is enthusiastic about training motivated individuals who are eager to learn and grow with the team. This role requires candidates to be at least 16 years of age and able to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
