The role of SCA Cook II at SodexoMagic is an exciting full-time opportunity located within the Economic Institution (location code 61023001). The position involves working primarily on weekdays with shifts varying to accommodate operational needs, with open availability preferred. The pay range for this role is competitive, offering between $17 and $23 per hour. As a SCA Cook II, the individual will be a crucial member of the culinary team, dedicated to preparing and creating nutritious and flavorful dishes while prioritizing excellent customer service. This role commands responsibility for cooking large quantities of meat, poultry, fish, and vegetables using a variety of cooking methods including roasting, frying, steaming, boiling, and baking, as well as preparing sauces, soups, gravies, casseroles, and stews. The cook will be tasked with reducing food waste and efficiently managing kitchen operations, contributing to a sustainable kitchen environment. Job Duties

  • Prepare large quantities of meat, poultry, fish, and vegetables using various cooking methods
  • season and cook all cuts of meats, fish, and poultry
  • boil, steam, or fry vegetables
  • make gravies, soups, sauces, roasts, meat pies, fricassees, casseroles, and stews
  • attend work and show for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity
  • reduce food waste by efficiently managing kitchen operations
  • perform other duties as assigned based on business needs and client requirements
