The position of SCA Cook II at Sodexo, located at the USAF FTI - Beale Air Force Base, presents a dynamic full-time opportunity for individuals who are passionate about culinary arts and customer service. This role involves preparing large quantities of food using a variety of cooking methods, including boiling, steaming, frying, roasting, and creating soups, sauces, casseroles, and other nutritious dishes. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in cooking meat, poultry, fish, and vegetables, season ingredients skillfully, and consistently contribute to reducing food waste within the operation. The work schedule includes varying shifts with preferred open availability, ensuring flexibility to meet operational needs. Pay ranges from $7.25 to $24.57 per hour, reflecting experience and skill levels.

Job Duties

  • Prepare large quantities, by various methods of cooking, meat, poultry, fish, and vegetables, seasons and cooks all cuts of various meats, fish, and poultry, boils, steams, or fries vegetables, makes gravies, soups, sauces, roasts, meat pies, fricassees, casseroles, and stews
  • Attend work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Perform other duties as assigned depending on business necessities and client requirements
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment
  • Collaborate with team members to reduce food waste
  • Ensure all food preparation meets safety and quality standards
  • Maintain inventory and assist with ordering supplies
