The role of SCA Cook II at Sodexo's USAF FTI location at Nellis AFB is a part-time opportunity with a pay rate of $20.40 per hour. This position involves working varying shifts including days, hours, and rotating weekends, with more detailed scheduling information provided during the interview process. As a SCA Cook II, you will be an essential member of the culinary team, responsible for preparing and creating nutritious, high-quality dishes for a large volume of customers. Your work will emphasize reducing food waste while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining safe food practices. This position requires adaptability and teamwork to meet the demands of different accounts and client specifications.

In this role, you will be expected to handle a variety of cooking methods and kitchens tasks. These include preparing meat, poultry, fish, and vegetables through boiling, steaming, frying, and roasting, among others. You will also make gravies, soups, sauces, casseroles, and stews, ensuring all meals meet Sodexo’s standards for quality and nutrition. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • prepare large quantities of meat, poultry, fish, and vegetables by various cooking methods
  • season and cook all cuts of meats, fish, and poultry
  • boil, steam, or fry vegetables
  • make gravies, soups, sauces, roasts, meat pies, fricassees, casseroles, and stews
  • attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • perform other duties as assigned based on business necessities and client requirements
