With a strong emphasis on delivering exceptional guest experiences and supporting employee well-being, Heritage Restaurant Group has established itself as a leading employer in the hospitality industry. Their dedication to honoring local artisans and maintaining New Mexico pride informs every aspect of their business, from menu offerings to workplace culture.

This particular opportunity is based in Albuquerque, NM, operating out of the popular Sawmill Market. The company is offering a part-time hourly position that starts at $13.00 per hour, depending on experience, plus tips and benefits. The role focuses on maintaining the daily operations of the kitchen by supporting the culinary team and ensuring cleanliness and organization. Employees in this position enjoy extremely flexible work schedules designed to enhance work-life balance. Additionally, the company provides generous employee discounts on hotel room rates and food across all its properties throughout New Mexico.

The role itself is centered around working under the direction of the Executive Chef or Sous Chef to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly during service hours. Responsibilities include communicating with kitchen leadership for job assignments and timing, setting up and cleaning workstations, managing dishwashing duties including hand washing delicate items, sanitizing kitchen areas, and maintaining adequate stocks of cleaning supplies. An essential part of the job also involves operating dishwashing machines efficiently and reporting any mechanical issues to ensure uninterrupted kitchen operations. The candidate needs to be comfortable working in a fast-paced, sometimes humid kitchen environment, often standing for eight hours or more, and capable of frequent lifting or carrying of heavy items, emphasizing the physical demands of the job.

Heritage Restaurant Group offers more than just a paycheck. Beyond the competitive pay and tips, employees benefit from a 25 percent 401(k) match, complimentary meals during scheduled shifts, free employee parking, and a supportive team culture that values growth and advancement opportunities. The company prides itself on fostering a workplace environment that celebrates local culture and community, making it an engaging and rewarding place to work. Those interested in a hospitality career with a focus on teamwork, customer service, and cultural pride will find this position particularly appealing.
