Job Description
Tuli Lodge is a unique social sauna and cold plunge garden located on the Seattle waterfront, offering a refreshing and innovative wellness experience that combines community, music, and vibrant energy. Unlike traditional spas, Tuli Lodge fosters a social environment where wellness is integrated with entertainment and community engagement. Founded to bring a fresh approach to relaxation and rejuvenation, Tuli Lodge is open from November through April at Pier 62, with plans for a new location post-April. This seasonal establishment has quickly become a beloved spot for locals and visitors alike who seek more than just a typical spa day.
As a growing startup, Tuli Lodge is building a small but powerful founding team dedicated to shaping a distinctive sauna and cold plunge experience in Seattle. They are currently looking to hire part-time Sauna Hosts, particularly at their Old Stove Ship Canal Outpost, to join this exciting journey. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about wellness, hospitality, and community-building, eager to contribute to something special from the ground up.
The Sauna Host position at Tuli Lodge is a dynamic and hands-on role requiring candidates to oversee daily sauna and cold plunge operations. Responsibilities include managing the wood-fired stove, opening and closing the venue, ensuring safety on-site, facilitating guest flow, maintaining cleanliness, cataloging inventory, and handling equipment transportation. Additionally, hosts are expected to warmly greet guests, address any issues, and maintain a fun, seamless, hygienic, and personalized experience throughout each shift. The role demands independence and confidence, especially during solo shifts, and involves direct reporting to the founder to uphold the high standards of Tuli Lodge.
This part-time role requires 20 to 25 hours per week with flexibility to work early mornings, late nights, and a minimum of one weekend shift each week. The compensation is competitive at $24 per hour with added benefits such as paid sick leave, unlimited access to the sauna and cold plunge, guest passes, event perks, and opportunities for career growth within the company, including roles like shift lead, operations manager, or long-term business team member.
The working culture at Tuli Lodge is fast-paced, people-first, and startup-scrappy. Every detail matters, from guest interactions to towel arrangements to the carefully curated playlists. The team thrives on collaboration, creativity, and innovation, valuing when members bring fresh ideas to enhance the customer experience and operational efficiency. Joining Tuli Lodge means becoming part of a passionate founding team that is bringing the sauna dream to life in Seattle, making it an excellent opportunity for those motivated by community engagement and entrepreneurial spirit.
